New Zeiss Z4 Workstation

Hello, all, attempting to connect a new Z4 computer to our existing Contura G2 CMM.

The Config file from the existing computer has been copied onto the new computer after renaming the new Config file.

Calypso will open on the new computer but none of the original data will appear. No machine, probes, probe rack etc., appears on this computer.

When I bring up the CMM Configurations, under the CMM Settings, the "Simulation Only" is checked, but it is greyed out so I cannot uncheck.

Also, as noted there is no Machine tab listed.

Does anyone see what I am missing?

Thanks in advance for any assistance provided.

Hello James,

you are missing quite a lot 🤣

There is not "one" config File you need to copy and all of the data is transported to the new Computer.

There are quite a few folders you need to transfer to make sure everything is on the new Computer.

Additionally you need to transfer your Stylus Data.

Easy way would be to contact you Zeiss Partner or the Hotline to get help.

Hello, thanks for information provided.

Yes, it appears that I will need to contact the Help desk.

One additional note, this new Workstation already has Calypso, installed.

All of the original files have been copied and transferred to the new computer and the new files renamed.

That is where the issue remains in connecting to the original files on the new computer.

Thanks again.

Hello James,

i'm not a 100% sure, but i think i remember something regarding your situation.

I think when you install Calypso first you need to rename the created folders you want to replace.

So if you want to replace the "inspections" Folder, you need to rename it to "inspections_old" and then copy the Folder with your Data from the other machine.

This is far from intuitive but you might want to give it a try.
