[Jo...]
Hey All, Is it possible to save a Calypso program to an older version? Is it possible to export the features and characteristic list to be imported into a new plan? TIA!
[Ky...]
Hello Joseph, Unfortunately you cannot save a program as an older version. I'm not exactly sure what you are thinking terms of the export/import function, but if have two programs open, you can copy and paste from one to the other. Based on the other question though, I would think you're trying to save something out and import it to another version, which I don't think I've ever seen done. [Mi...] Posted yesterday at 02:52 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:52 AM You can force a program to open in an older version, with some caveats, and risk. The method is well documented on Google. Is it a good idea? Your mileage may vary. I've had to do it, in my case when a program was accidentally saved in 2019/2020 and I had to open it in 2018. In every instance I did it, I knew there was nothing from a higher version in the program. But, you'll immediately notice settings change, like "Use large icons"... But then I noticed all the compatibility settings reverted to weird values after. Who knows what else? It was always debatable which was better, to recreate the program vs force it to work in the older version, then go over every setting with a fine toothed comb. Getting everything onto the same version was a better solution.

[Jo...] Posted yesterday at 11:52 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 11:52 AM Please sign in to view this quote. I was just throwing this out there. I have seen an export characteristic function within calypso under the file menu, but this may be for a different use.
