I believe mine got auto installed with the main install.

I think it is in the install folder and you may be able to install it yourself. There is a .msi in the install folder.

 Good luck.

Language (and translation) matters 👨‍🎓📚

I think I can deduce what Zeiss means by "automatism" here, but the dictionary definitions make it sound more like me before coffee  in the morning.

I pledge to use this word more often.

Perhaps they should use the word "magic" instead.

My co-worker installed Calypso 8.0 last night. The Zeiss excel Characteristic spreadsheet is not showing the actuals.

Simulation is entirely broken for me. Not sure how they could justify releasing this version with how non-functional the new simulation is.

Swabian programmers shouldn't be allowed to do English translations themselves. 😆

Here's why (Günther Oettinger's "English" was legendary 😄)

I always think of this old ad when it comes to German/English translation:

I just wanted to thank all of you for doing the testing. The last time we upgraded, the lesson learnt was that: never ever touch a running system. Or at least wait until about 3 servicepacks with patches have been released 🙂 The same thing goes for the Gear software...

I have not been able to find the setting yet. I was going to run a quick test when I get the chance to make sure it isn't at a (low) limit. We used to have ours set at 999 because that was the max. They changed that at some point through updates, so we updated the setting to 100,000.

Well the patch is here, but the release notes don't mention simulation. Can't say I like the fact that patches now are GB's of download. With my internet at work it will be a couple of hours until I can get it...

I can answer myself - simulation is still terribly broken...

Especially with how that being a highlight of this version being improved simulation performance. 🤣

Confirmed. It's baffling that Zeiss let out this update touting the new simulation performance as one of the highlights just for it to fail so miserably. I would understand if only a few people under some specific circumstances were affected, but it looks like its a widespread issue. I can't imagine how it got past the QC before release. It's a QC software, after all...

Hi Clark, Zak from the Software Help Desk here. This is a known bug and I recommend submitting a Help Desk Ticket for this issue where we can provide support.
