Calypso 8.0

Question to people who have installed 8.0 on their machines: When measuring the part, I have a delay of sometimes even 3 seconds after each feature measured. I'm suspecting it takes this long to "save" measurement points somewhere. I don't have this delay on 7.8. Anyone else experiencing this?

I have the exact same problem. I found that when the clearence plane is activated makes the registration of features extremely slow.

If you set the clearence plane to zero, as if it hasn't been set yet, features will be recognized fast as in 7.8

I'll telling you guys, Zeiss changed something in the background with clearance planes ever since service pack 7.8.12.  See my post:

We have a second CMM in our lab with 8.0 installed - basic install - no add on's - works fine, no lag

My machine has the profiler and surface package installed too - No problem in 7.8 - big lag in 8.0

Don't know if if it could be related to the add on packages. Our local Zeiss support has been informed of this lag.

I don't have time this week, but next week I'll install 8.0 on the CMM that doesn't have curve or freeform and see if there's any difference. Thanks!
